

Belinda was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was united in marriage to her loving husband, George Smith Jr., for 32 beautiful years. Their union was a true example of love, commitment, and family.
She dedicated 27 years of service to Northside Hospital, where she worked faithfully until her retirement in December 2025. Her hard work, compassion, and dedication touched the lives of many.
Belinda was full of life and joy. She loved dancing, playing cards, and talking a little friendly trash while watching basketball. She was also a loyal fan of the Atlanta Falcons and enjoyed cheering them on every chance she got.
She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved husband, George Smith Jr.; her children:
Artavious Smith (Tureka), Treashunda Smith (Stanley), Chanterria Malcome (Thurbyus), and George Smith III (Kwineishia);
her stepchildren: Lashunda Smith, Demetrius Smith, Terrance Gordon, and Tawallia Myrick;
her siblings: Willie Monroe and Travis Monroe;
along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Monroe and Ruby Lee Holmes; her brothers, James Monroe and Walter “Wendy” Monroe; her stepson, Xavier Smith; and her grandmother, Lizzie Mae Holmes.
Belinda will always be remembered for her strength, her laughter, her love for family, and the joy she brought into every room she entered. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
