Christine Wallace

Christine Durham McCullough Wallace was born August 7, 1925 to parents Samuel and Corrine Durham in Pittsburg, PA. There Christine attended Pittsburg Public Schools and graduated from Shemley High School in 1943. Christine gave her life to Christ as a teenager at Beaver Avenue Church of God. At the age of 20, Christine was ordained and received a degree from Moody Bible College. She loved to sew, quilt and read. Christine moved to Atlanta Georgia in 1975. She worked at Urban League and was an active member at Senior Citizen Center at Bowdens and Charles Grisley. She was married and preceded in death by her 2 husbands: William R McCullough, Sr., Edward Wallace, Sr. and 14 siblings. Christine is survived by 3 children: William Robert McCullough of East Point, Edward (Nicole) Wallace of McDonough and Debra Haywood of Hampton, Ga., her sister: Towanda Carter, 9 grandchildren: Rio, Warren, Brandon, William, Eddie, Regina, Jordan, Domonique and preceded in death by Herman and Dominic. Christine is survived by a host of great grandchildren. A visitation for Christine will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5755 Mallory Road, College Park, GA 30349. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 17, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
