David lived a life marked by individuality, depth, and authenticity. He walked his own path, guided by a spirit that was uniquely his. Those who knew him understood there was always more beneath the surface—a quiet strength, a thoughtful nature, and a presence that left a lasting impression.
He had a deep love for music, which was far more than a pastime—it was a connection to the world around him and a reflection of who he was. Music brought him joy, comfort, and expression, and it became one of the ways he connected with others, sharing pieces of himself without ever needing many words.
David shared a special and unbreakable bond with his younger brother, Dion. Together, they were affectionately known as “Otha Man and Brotha Man.” Their relationship was filled with laughter, loyalty, and genuine companionship—truly two peas in a pod. The memories they created together remain a lasting testament to that extraordinary bond.
David was the father of four children—Julian, Sierra, D’Andre, and Zachary—and a beloved bonus daughter, India. He was also the grandfather of five grandchildren, with one more precious blessing on the way. While life’s journey created distance at times, love remains. Today, we acknowledge his children and grandchildren with grace, honoring the place they hold in his life story and legacy.
David was preceded in death by his father, David Lambert Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving family: his mother Janice Pettigrew (Oscar Pettigrew, Jr. affectionately known as Pops) his brother, Dion Lambert (Tiwanna Lambert); bonus brother, Jonathan Pettigrew; bonus sister, Jessica Pettigrew. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
David’s life was not defined by perfection, but by authenticity. He leaves behind memories that are real, meaningful, and deeply personal to those who knew and loved him.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
