Della C. Edwards

On Sunday January 7, 2018 Ms. Della C. Edwards, mother, granny, sister and friend passed away following an 8 year battle with metastatic breast cancer at the age of 63. She passed away at her daughter's home with her family by her side.

Della was born in Harvest, Alabama to Haywood and Lerleaner Edwards. Della is survived by her daughter, Ariel Ruffin and grandson, Kahdi Edgecombe, whom she adores. She is the youngest of her siblings, Ella Edwards, her twin sister, Cora Jackson, Jimmy Edwards, Robert Edwards, Haywood Edwards Jr. and Willie Lee Leslie. She attended Alabama A&M University and moved to the city of Atlanta in the 70s.

Della enjoyed her work as an accountant, eventually starting her own business, DCE Financial Services. She paid great attention to detail and took great pride in her work. She enjoyed shopping, going to arts and crafts shows, and loved working in her yard.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Forest Lawn Celebration of Life services at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens

5755 Mallory Rd, College Park, GA 30349. Visitation will be held on January 12, 2018 from 6 - 8 pm. Della's funeral services will be held on Saturday January 13, 2018 at 11 am. The repast will follow the service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
