Earlene was born January 27, 1948, as Earlene Thomas in Macon, Georgia. She was the third of four children born to the union of Ulasee and Margel Thomas. Earlene was a precocious and introverted child who had a passion for reading books and listening to music. She attended Saint Peter Claver Catholic School early in her Education. She later attended and graduated from Ballard Hudson Highschool in 1965. The love of family was deeply rooted early, and she carried the same love throughout her life. After graduation, she volunteered as a Candy Striper/Student Nurse at the Macon Hospital.
Earlene met and married Airmen Nelson Todd in 1966 and started her life as a military wife that took her to Omaha, Warner Robbins, Chicago, and then to Atlanta. Her Christian faith made her a caring and giving woman who loved to share with others. Earlene stood on the scripture Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. This scripture was exemplified in her life daily. Earlene was a powerfully plain-spoken woman who genuinely showed love to people she knew and those who she didn’t know.
Earlene was a cheerful giver with the softest heart. She always had an ear, shoulder, or song for anyone in need. Though her health was declining her fighting spirit continued to shine through. Earlene's example of perseverance CONTINUES. Earlene entered her eternal rest the evening of April 19, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ulasee and Margel Thomas, her brother Willie Thomas and her sister Eula Jones. She is survived by her sister LaTanya Todd (husband Julius Todd Jr.). Her three children Daughter Deneen Thomas, Son Michael Todd (wife Tracy Todd), Daughter Daphne Carter (husband Adam Carter Sr). She leaves behind 8 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren all who she loved very much. Demetrius (wife Shania), Raven (husband Brandon), Denise, Taylor, Denera, Brianna, Adam II, Aiden, William, and King along with four great-grandchildren Jaden, Laila, Easton and Alyra. And in addition to a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews, and Friends.

We pray that God continues to bless and keep you all. Special thanks to T.L. Hutton Funeral Home of Burlington, NJ and Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in College Park, GA.
