To my Dear Friend Nora:
Words simply cannot express how I feel about you and the love I felt for Ernie.
Ernie was such a wonderful, fun loving person and I will forever cherish the times I spent with you all.
Although I was not able to be with you physically, spiritually I was right there with you and the family every step of Ernie’s journey home.
I love you and I will always be there for you and I will always remember Ernie fondly.

To Nora, growing up I remember attending our Gaylor Family Reunions with such fondness and of being so absolutely proud of Ernest who always represented our family so eloquently in speech and stature. He simply commanded respect. I am sure these had to have been qualities that drew you to him and kept you two together for so very long.

We love him and we love you. We are Family.

Sharing a photo I inherited of Ernie’s Grandmother Gaylor and my Great Grandmother. To the right is Ernie’s Uncle Winfield Gaylor and my Grandfather.

Whenever I think of Ernie; naturally Nora’s name follows. Their name always brings a big smile on my face, in my mind and on my heart. I remember all the fun times my daughter and I spent with them.

For many decades we have had "The Gaylor Reunion". Ernest was always there traveling from the various states that he use to reside. His laughter and insight was always needed, appreciated and loved. Another mighty tree has fallen. As we go towards our 100th reunion, thoughts of Ernest will remain forever! My prayers and condolences to Nora and family.

Much Love your cousin

Betty, God will take care of you, May your troubled heart find peace and comfort, in the knowledge that you are never alone. May God's presence ease your trembling spirit and give you rest. He knows how you feel, (I know how you feel when I lost my husband 2 months ago). He is ever aware of your circumstances and ready to be your strength, your grace, and your peace. He is our provider and what we are feeling is simply too deep for words, and nothing anyone does or says can provide us with the relief we need. God understands, He is your provider, today, tomorrow and always. And he loves you and so do I. Hebrews 13:5 says" For he has said, I will never leave or forsake you." I'm here whenever you need me. I love you. Love your cousin, Linda

Throughout our lives we make many friends…. some who become part of our family; and, when they leave us, they leave footprints on our hearts and memories that we will treasure forever.
Ernie was someone that knew how to appreciate every moment of life. We will never forget all the good times we shared. Although he is no longer with us, we will keep his memory in our hearts. We are comforted to know that from where he is, he will be watching over us.”
Good trip our friend; the Lord will rest your soul”. Goodbye, until that day when we meet again.
