

She attended Putnam County’s Central Academy High School, graduating class of 1964. After graduation, she attended Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida.
She briefly worked for Hudson Paper Co. in Palatka, Florida. She later began her career with AT&T. She retired from AT&T after 33 years of service.
Yvonne moved from Palatka, Florida to Jacksonville, Florida and later to Atlanta, Georgia where she raised her children and prospered in life.
After retirement, she relocated to Palm Coast, Florida to enjoy her golden years. After several years in Palm Coast, FL, she returned to Atlanta to be close to two of her three children.
Yvonne enjoyed traveling and seeing new things. She traveled every year until her health started to decline. She spent the last 10 years living with her daughter and her family and enjoying the carefree life of retirement as any retiree should.
In her final days, she was surrounded by family, close friends and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Jesse Minors and Levis Roberts; her siblings: sister, Princess Yvette Whitfield and brother, Lawrence Carl Roberts; two grandchildren: Antonio Jerell Atkins and baby Dylan John Thomas Williams.

her son, Anthony Atkins (Eureka) of Interlachen, FL; daughter, Kimberly Williams (John) of Griffin, GA; son, Courtne Minors (Te-ko’rah) of Atlanta, GA; sisters: Willagene Gibbs, Eva Brown, and Dortheia Lewis all of Palatka, FL, Paula Chisolm of Miami, FL, Victoria Grant oand Carolyn Johnson, both of Orlando, FL; brothers: Dale Whitfield of Palatka, FL, Charles Whitfield of Hinesville, GA and Melvin Blocker of Boyton Beach, FL; 11 grandchildren: Kurtiz Mency, Terrence Jones, Antoine Atkins, Destiny Atkins, Brianna Atkins, John Thomas Williams III, Dominique Williams, Breunna Williams, Savion Williams, Kiara Jacobs, and Tyana Minors; 8 great grandchildren; Godmother, Ms. Marie Dryden; Special close friends: Jackie Atkins (father of Anthony Atkins and Kimberly Williams), The Kirby Family, Ms. Mitzi Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones. She will be especially missed by the family pet, Bella.
