

Minerva G. Coleman was born in Washington, D.C. on January 17, 1927, to the late Thornton and Eliza Jones. She was raised in Washington, D.C. and attended the D.C. public school. For the greater part of her life she worked for the Federal Government, and retired from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms in Atlanta, Georgia.
Her beloved husband preceded her in death along with two daughters: Minerva Slater and Hope Dotson. Leaving to morn; two children: Samuel S. Lee III (Patricia), Natalie Wright; fourteen grandchildren; one grandson-in-law; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; as well as many relatives and friends.
Minerva was a consummate believer in God and family; she never met a stranger and treated everyone as a friend. She believed in treating others as she wished to be treated, with dignity and respect. Minerva was a member of Greater Solid Rock Baptist Church and a member of the Mothers Ministry for many years. After moving to Peachtree City, she became a member of God’s Word & Christ Ministry. The last church she was a member of was Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was an avid reader of the Bible and studied the scriptures daily. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 91. She was a loyal and dedicated mother, grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend who dedicated her life to serving God and enjoying family and friends.
