It was the end of a challenging week when our beautiful free-spirited Tamara Bridget Hill (known as Tam Tam and called Bridget by a few people) decided to change her environment and transition from her home in Fairburn, GA to Heaven to be with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. The date was November 21, 2020; a day that we'll never forget.
Tam Tam entered our earthly realm in Atlanta, GA on Monday, May 8,1972. As the 5th child of loving parents. Carlton Hill, Sr., and Brenda Joyce Grant Hill. Prior to Tam's entry Carlton and Brenda birthed oldest Brother Lam Lam, who returned to Heaven at age 2 months. Twins Kimberly(Kevin) and Carlton, Jr. were next, then Brother Ron Rico was born before Tam, afterwards, youngest Brother Howard Hill(Ruthie) was born.
The Hills became one big happy family. "The Hill 7" traveled the United States on a regular basis. Tam enjoyed going from South to North and East to West with "The Hill 7" and often other family and friends. Threw the years, the twins (Kim & Carlton, Jr.) and baby Brother Howard ventured into the world to pursue successful educational, military and career ventures. Ron and Tam remained at home with their parents Carlton and Brenda enjoying exploring the nation as "The Hill 4". Many people thought that Tam Tam and Ron were the twins, because when you saw one you always saw the other.
Tamara enjoyed receiving several certificates of awards while in school. She also enjoyed meeting lifelong friends at school as well as church. Designing fashion was one of Tam's most enjoyable indulgences. Also, she admired jewelry and adored brand-names fragrances. Tam was a bright personality who didn't meet a stranger. To view beauty and smell appealing aromas were therapeutic modalities for her.
One specific memory of Tam's is that she was a mindful eater at IHop (a favorite restaurant), she would always order a large salad! Others in the dining group would order pancakes with butter and syrup along with bacon, sausage, chicken, and/or steak! How could Tam order ONLY a large salad? We recently concluded that her salads were not only a healthier option, but were colorful and simply beautiful to look at as Tam ate!
Although Tamara Hill enjoyed only 48 wonderful years on this earth, there are thousands of great memories of her that are in the minds and hearts of many relatives and friends. Her zest for life endeared her to many people, so this obituary is only a snapshot of Tam Tam's journey on this earth-which allowed her to claim her wings.
