I fell in love with Tray and Alexia when I first met them. I was the first baby sitter for their baby boy, Zephaniah. We became close like family. Tray did a very special thing for me. He introduced me to one of his best friends, Enoch Yisrael, even called him his brother. Needless to say, Tray did the “hook up“ and now Enoch and I are husband and wife! 

Tray was such a family man. He deeply loved his wife and children. I saw the love he poured out over his son and the joy he displayed when he spoke of Alexia. 

Tray is truly missed. Enoch and I have nothing but fond memories of him as a true friend and a caring brother.  May the peace and comfort of the Most High be with Alexia, the children, and all the family and friends of our beloved Tray!!


I've known my brother Tra for a few years now... I'd say close to 6 years or so.  I met him through a close friend of ours, Enoch Yisrael.  I needed some emergency AC work done and I was told Tra was that guy!  Tra soon showed up and did his thing!  The AC was flowing cool as ever and my family was happy with me again! :)

I've been around a few days myself and I've met a lot of people in a lot of different places.  I can say for me, rarely do you meet people that you can tell INSTANTLY that they are as genuine as the day is long!  It appeared to me right away that Tra was a person of integrity and knew a thing or two about real life.  After many conversations, I grew to learn that he was a man of true principle and was always looking to do what was right.

To The Beloved Family of Travious Hammonds, please know that he represented you all well.  He talked of you all of the time!  He loved and revered his family and friends as I can tell you that you were always in his thoughts.

While his flesh will no longer grace us, those wonderful thoughts and memories will always be with us!  Locate that special place in your heart and mind, you know the place where you put all things cherished, and store those there as well.  And when days get a bit long and you find yourself longing for Tra, reach into that special place and it'll help us restore our strength.

Losing Tray is devastating. He brought so much peace, love and joy to our family. I love him so much and I miss him. My heart is grieving and it hurts.  My thoughts and prayers go out to my Aunt Sharlene, Tray's wife Alexia, his son Zephaniah, Miss Saniyah and their family, his Brothers BJ, Deon and Demetrius, his nephews and all of his cousins. Tray will truly be missed, we could always depend on him to come to our rescue to make our work environment as comfortable as possible.

Travious, my son-in-law, your sudden death bothered me so much! You and I were just on the phone Sunday Afternoon (11/17) talking and laughing. Son,  I was looking forward to us to finally meet in the new year 2022. 

Due to the pandemic; last year; I was not able to attend the wedding; but yet I felt so much apart of you and my daughter’s special day.  I look at you and my daughter picture everyday and It makes me smile and so Proud.

Travious, thank you for loving my daughter and my grand children the way you did. My heart hurts so much for my daughter and grand kids. Life is full of mystery that the human beings cannot explain. 

We can Only get thru this by God’s Grace and His Mercy. I will miss our talks. Continue to the angel over my daughter and grandkids.

Trey always had a way of making you smile and laugh. May God continue to bless the family and keep them in comfort during this difficult time. 

We all worked at East Point together.  Many of us have kept in touch and one thing that we all agree on, is about Trey's calm demeanor. When work was chaotic, and everyone was frantic, he kept his cool. His disposition was happy, and it was always a pleasure to be in his presence. 

His memory will live on in each person he encountered... and there will be a moment of calm and peace. That's how I will remember him.

Growing up in a household with my  father, grandmother, and uncles is something that I remember still to this day.  As a small child, I remember constantly roaming around the house and interacting with my uncles. They became a big part of my life, just as big as my father. I would search for them and be sad whenever they were out of the house. My uncle Tray was one of the most influential male role models in my life. Every conversation we had gave me insight and optimism. He was very passionate about the children in this family. He was a very happy, easy going man. You would rarely see him angry. There’s so much that I wish I could’ve told him before today so I will share it with the readers of this message. Uncle, I love you forever and always. I am so proud to have been your nephew. We, as your family, were blessed to have even known your spirit. I am glad you finally found your happiness in Auntie Lexis and together brought Zephaniah into our world. I know that he was everything that you’ve always wanted and the happiness you have given to them, our family, as well as your friends will never be forgotten. I will cherish every memory that I have with you and I will be sure to watch over Zeph. Thank you so much for attending my gender reveal. You knew all along that it would be a boy. I wish he would’ve gotten a chance to meet you. Every time I have a drink I know you will be there toasting it up with me and every time an Atlanta pro team wins I know you’ll be watching with us.
