David was born September 20, 1956 in Houston, Texas, to John Charles and Margaret Ann (Yantis) Tyner. David is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Becky) Tyner; daughter and son-in-law, Jillian and Wade Moore; daughter and son-in-law, Brittni and Jacob Bures; treasured grandchildren, Zoe, Levi, Jaxon, Zeke and Zane Moore; Adelaide, Charles, Tilly and Cotton Bures; mother, Margaret Ann Tyner; brother and sister-in-law, John Michael and Glenda Tyner; sister, Ann Tyner; father-in-law, Arthur P. David was a 1975 graduate of Galena Park High School where he enjoyed playing football. David was married to Becky for 40 years and during that time they were blessed with two daughters. He was a wonderful father who spent time teaching his girls to hunt, fish and enjoy life. David and Becky were also blessed with nine grandchildren. He was a very proud Toady and spending time with his grandchildren was a tremendous joy in his life.
The main love of David’s life was Becky and his family. David also had another love that many didn’t know of, Industrial Firefighting and David was very good at it. David served on fire brigades and leadership roles while employed at Arco Chemical and British Petroleum. But David found his calling as an Industrial Fire Instructor at the Fire School at Texas A&M University.
He was a great instructor that was constantly requested by many of the Industrial Fire Brigades that received training there. David made an impact for these Brigade members, that will be missed for years to come. He truly made a difference.
In lieu of flowers, David wished for donations to be made to “TEEX/ESTI Tuition Assistance Account” in the name of David Tyner.
