
Ann was born September 8, 1919, in Quitaque, Texas to Oscar and Gertrude (Thurmond) Gregg, and attended public school in Amarillo. She graduated from Quitaque High School and attendedFlemming Business School.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Sherwin Williams and was a homemaker. She is a member of Cypress Valley Bible Church in Marshall, Texas. Ann was a member of Harrison County Genealogy Society and a member of the Marshall chapter of DAR. She served a number of years as a volunteer worker for Marshall Manor Nursing Home. She married Gale Wilson of Marshall, Texas, in San Antonio, June 4, 1944. Anna Belle, lovingly known as AB by her husband, was not only a mother to her two girls, but served as a caregiver to many.
She was truly given a heart of servitude by the Lord, and was full of empathy and love for those in need. Her life will forever be remembered by those who knew her and loved her as the life of a woman with a full heart, always pouring out love as a daughter, mother, sister, wife, grandmother, and friend. For her grandchildren, Anna Wilson was more than a grandmother; she was a nurturer, cheerleader, and supporter, who always had open arms and an open heart, ready to fill in the gaps left by everyday life.
Her family will miss her, but will most definitely smile with gratitude every time they think of her. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 27, 1999.
She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Ann Riddle of College Station and Cathy Gale Williamson of Allen, Texas; two son-in-laws, Jim Riddle and Jerry Williamson; four grandchildren, Rachelle Smith, Jerome Riddle, Brent Goerner, and Ashley Haden;
and 3 great-grandchildren, Lane, Elise, and Ty Haden.
