

Funeral Mass will be Friday, August 18 at 10 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Private entombment will be at Msgr. Gleissner Mausoleum.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 17 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm followed by the Rosary at Memorial Funeral Chapel College Station.
Nettie was born April 23, 1931, in Burleson County, the daughter of Anton and Bessie (Sablatura) Beran. She worked and retired after many years of service from Fashions by Manning and Nita Smith and Texas A&M AgriLife Research. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, dancing, traveling the back roads of Texas and cooking and baking and spending time with family members. Nettie was a charter member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and a member of the KJZT and Altar Society. Nettie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edwin, daughter, Cheryl Wyatt, grandson, Christopher Wyatt, and sisters; Edith Jones, Mary Anne Stasny, and Dorothy Beran.
She is survived by her children, Michael Hein and wife Alice, Cathy Smock and husband Mark, Tim Hein, and son-in-law Bob Wyatt; grandchildren, Chad Wyatt, Courtney (Wyatt) Barrett and husband John, Colby Wyatt and wife Jenn, Zachary Smock and wife Crystal, Matthew Smock and wife Lindsey, Jordan (Hein) Gerules and husband Joseph, and step-grandson, Joshua O'Neal; seven great-grandchildren; a twin sister, Elizabeth Wymola and husband Alfred, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, Texas Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
