

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Elaine Crouse and his parents, Calvin and Geneva Crouse of Andrews, Texas. He is survived by his two brothers, Maurice and Jackie Crouse; his four children, Marlin (Jane) Crouse of Bryan, Texas, Rhonda (Clayton) Hall of College Station, Texas, Vhonda (Peter) Gilmore of Belton, Texas, and Kelvin Crouse of Bryan. He also leaves seven grandchildren, Jaime Rocha, Matthew Crouse, Jason Crouse, Russell Gilmore, Kendall Crouse, Leah Gilmore, and Caleb Hall; his seven great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Reed Crouse, Olivia and Grant Crouse, Everett and Aiden Gilmore, Ava Tijerina-Crouse; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob served his country honorably in the Navy for 8 years from 1952-1956 on the USS Manchester CL-83 and the USS Henry W Tucker DDR-876 and from 1956-1960 in the Naval Reserve. Following his time in the service he began a lengthy 57-year career in the Oil Industry where he retired with Halliburton Oil Company after working for over 30 years. Not one to sit still after retirement and continuing with his strong work ethic of providing for his family he worked with BJ Oil, Western, Baker Hughes, Fesco, and numerous other Oil companies as an expert consultant. He enjoyed driving around the state and visiting his numerous friends and associates.
He enjoyed a life of working hard while playing golf, working in his yard and watching his children and grandchildren participate in various sports. He was passionate about football and America’s team, “The Cowboys” and enjoyed watching sports and his favorite Fox News.
A graveside service and interment will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the College Station City Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Bluebonnet Place Assisted Living in College Station for the loving and exceptional care they provided Bob while he resided there, and to the staff at Baylor Scott and White of College Station for their excellent service, their compassion, and their commitment to palliative and comfort care during his brief stay.
