

Bryan was born in Aitkin, Minnesota to Walter and Marjorie Deuermeyer. He graduated from McGregor High School and went on to complete a B.A. in Chemistry at the University of Minnesota-Duluth campus. He went on to complete a M.S. and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University in Industrial Engineering.
Bryan started his professional career as an assistant professor of quantitative methods in the Krannert Graduate School of Business, Purdue University. He then went on to complete a 28 year career as associate, then full professor in the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department at Texas A&M University. He filled several administrative roles in the department as well as teaching, mentoring students and publishing research. Bryan was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church where he served on the vestry and participated in the music program.
He will be remembered first and foremost as a loving, deeply caring and wonderful husband and father. He also had a passion for teaching and mentoring students. Bryan loved music, golf and above all, anything chocolate.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Bryan is survived by his wife Sally, twin daughters Elizabeth Deuermeyer Ph.D., Anne Martin and husband Mitchell, granddaughters Lily and Emma Martin, brother Bradley Deuermeyer and wife Shirley, sister Renee Fliss and husband Greg, niece Jami Nyberg and husband Glendon and great-nephew Noah.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Bryan’s life on July 18, 2017, at 3:00 P.M. at St. Francis Episcopal Church, College Station, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes you to make donations to the St. Francis general church fund, The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration or the charity of your choice in his name.
