David "Tex" Prince

David N. “Tex" Prince, 64, of Roans Prairie, passed away January 3, 2016 at the College Station Medical Center. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 7th at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, January 8th at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. Interment will follow at the Old Oakland Cemetery in Roans Prairie.

Tex was born March 7, 1951 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the son of Robert James and Florence Marie Stewart Prince. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1969, becoming a Lance Corporal before he was honorably discharged.

Survivors include his wife, Deborrah Prince of Roans Prairie; one son David Prince, Jr. of Port Lavaca, Texas; four daughters, Nancy Rushing of Ector, Texas, Elizabeth Ridgeway; Navasota, Texas, Nicki Moore of Tomball, Texas, Jessica Apostolo of Roans Prairie; nine grandchildren, Chris Rushing, Ariane Rushing, Alyssa Moore, Kaitlyn Apostolo, Shyann Rushing, Hayden Ridgeway, Colton Ridgeway, Kain Ridgeway, Carson Moore; four sisters, Mary Mickey, Leah Jones, Millie Goss, Bert Capella; and one brother, Daniel Prince.
