Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 19 at Old Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station.
Doris was born July 14, 1942 in Gatesville the daughter of Manuel and Sarah Patrick (Luevano) Zapata. Doris was a huge Aggie fan by heart; she loved everything about Texas A&M, from the school traditions to attending Aggie sports. She also enjoyed going to the movies and especially eating Blue Bell strawberry ice cream.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Kit Voss; daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie Voss-Konderla and Jimmy, Jennifer Jones and Albert, Tammy Chewning and Chip; sister and brother-in-law, Matilda and Leonard Maynard; brothers and sister-in-law, Tony and Carolyn Zapata, David Luevano; grandchildren, Tony K. Voss, Kristal Milsap, Wesley Konderla, Cory Konderla, Ashley Konderla, Robby Hawkins and Trinity Chewning; great-grandchildren, Dayton, Natalee, Maddie, Chase and Jamie; her children’s father, Gary K. Voss; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Magnified Health and Rehab and the staff at College Station Medical Center for their exceptional care they gave to Doris.
