Dorothy C. Hartsfield

Dorothy Ola (Carroll) Hartsfield, 91, died March 9, 2013 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station, with Pastor Johnny Sloan officiating. Interment will follow at Steep Hollow Cemetery.

Dorothy was born May 11, 1921 in Bryan, the daughter of Tommy and Laura Kate (Rhodes) Carroll. She was a member of the Rock Prairie Baptist Church.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin D. Hartsfield in 2004; and a brother, Ralph Carroll, sister, Helen Faulkner, and step-sister, Peggy Newberry.

Survivors include her son, Sandee Hartsfield and his wife, Jenny of College Station; two granddaughters, Carla Troupe and her husband Damien of Minneapolis, MN and Karen Bimslager and her husband Ben of Schertz, TX; three great grandchildren, Anna Troupe, Brooke Bimslager and Luke Bimslager; sister, Maxine Turner of Baytown; and a step-brother, Mack Whitmire of Baytown.
