Glenn'D David Smith

Glenn'D David Smith, 27, passed away Saturday morning, September 15, 2012 at his home in College Station surrounded by his loving family. Visitation is scheduled for 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the funeral home with the Reverend Weldon Mackie officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Cemetery of College Station.

Glenn'D was born June 5, 1985 in Bryan, Texas to Angela Coleman and David Smith. Glenn'D grew up in Houston and moved back to Bryan in 1998. He attended Bryan ISD, was an Honor Student, and a graduate of Bryan High School. He also attended Blinn Junior College in Bryan. He loved Baseball and played in Little League and Pony League. He was an avid collector of sports memorabilia, especially the Dallas Cowboys. He had a great talent for making you smile and laugh. He was a strong, strong Christian. Glenn'D had been with Sam’s Club in College Station since he was 16 years old.

Glenn'D is preceded in death by his grandparents, Glenn and Alta Smith, Ed Sims, and Mackey and Aldon Mitchell.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda Sims Smith of College Station; his mother and step-father, Angela and Scott Elliott of

Anderson, Texas; his father, David Smith of College Station; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gary and Pattie Sims of

Bryan; grandparents, Russell and Grace Coleman of College Station; grandmother-in-law, Myrl Sims of Bryan; brother and best friend, Christopher Glenn Ware of College Station; step-brother, Ben Elliott of Anderson; step-sister, Beth Ann Elliott of Houston; four sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and his faithful Lab, Zieg..

In Glenn’D memory, the family has requested that memorials be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 West 26th Street, Bryan, TX 77803.
