Born in Columbus, Ohio, Anne was one of five children and grew up in a close-knit family that shaped her lifelong devotion to caring for others. She went on to become a nurse, a calling through which she touched countless lives with her compassion, skill, and steady kindness.
Anne shared 58 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, David, building a life filled with love, laughter, and resilience. Together they raised four children, who, along with their seven grandchildren, were her greatest joy. Her home was always a place of warmth—often bustling with family gatherings, the sound of children’s voices, and the presence of beloved pets. A true animal lover, Anne always had dogs or cats by her side, treating them as members of the family. When she and her family moved to College Station in 1973 Anne soon joined the local Humane Society chapter and helped campaign for an improved animal shelter, including speaking at City Council meetings.
Those who knew Anne will remember her gentle strength, selfless spirit, and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed by David, their children and grandchildren, her siblings, extended family, and many friends.
A private service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne’s memory to the ASPCA.
