

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday December 21 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station.
Joe was born on a farm in what locals call the “Brazos Bottom” around Millican in Brazos County to Pete and Mary (Canatella) Palasota on June 12, 1929. He was raised in Millican and attended his first three years of high school in Navasota. He moved with his parents off the farm to Bryan in 1947, and finished his senior year at Stephen F. Austin High School in 1948. Joe attended McKinsey-Baldwin Business College in Bryan. In 1949 Joe was hired by Texas A&M Fiscal Office and worked until February 20, 1957. The next day he transferred to the Texas Forest Service. Joe had a 40 year career with Texas A&M and Texas Forest Service; he retired January 31, 1989.
Joe owned Palasota Tax Service for 48 years and retired in 2009. He proudly served in the 386 Engineer National Guard for 20 years. Joe was a lifelong member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Mary Palasota; five brothers, Gus, Charlie, Sam, John and Marion Palasota; six sisters, Willie May Falco, Lena Zaborski, Fena Decola, Mary Wojtasczyk, Vancie Muse and Josephine Cantella.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Palasota; sons, Ricky Palasota and wife Elaine, Robert Palasota and wife Kim; daughter, Regina South and husband Mike; sons, Michael Tippitt, Jeff Tippitt and wife Donna, Jerry Tippitt and wife Elaine; daughters, Regina Rikard, Becky Wingate and husband Freddie; sister, Angeline Cangemi; sister-in-law, Katherine Palasota; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Joe will be missed by all his family and friends.
