June Margaret Elizabeth York Jessup

June Margaret Elizabeth (York) Jessup ended her journey on February 13, 2011 after battling cancer. A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 P.M., Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station, with Chaplain Gary Roe officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

June Jessup was born March 1, 1932 in Kettering, England, the daughter of Florence and Walter York. She married Alvin Jessup who was stationed in England, while serving in the U.S. Air Force. June moved to College Station in 1999 and was an active member of the Senior Friends Group.

She was preceded in death by her husband SMSGT Alvin E. Jessup, USAF (Retired), granddaughter, Jennifer Jessup, her parents, four brothers and a sister.

Survivors include her children, Jay Jessup of San Antonio, Maria Robinson of College Station, and Scott Jessup of Huntsville; four grandchildren, Shavonne Jessup of San Antonio, Stephanie Jessup of San Antonio, Jared Robinson of College Station and Jace Robinson of College Station; sister, Pauline Smith of Kettering, England; brother, Mick York of Kettering, England; and numerous nieces and nephews.
