

Larry blessed this world with his birth on June 14th, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to parents William Harold Coursey and Lanelle Marie Klinkerman. He passed on August 11, 2025 in Bryan, Texas.
Larry met his partner in life, Carolyn Zirges, in Dallas, at Hope Lutheran Church when he was 13. They were married August 6, 1971, and enjoyed 54 years of marital BLISS! They have one child, Erin Elizabeth Cearley of Fairfield, Texas. One of “Pops’” greatest joys was seeing the birth of his 3 grandsons, and watching videos of their wild escapades in the woods.
He worked for Gooseneck Trailer, and Schwan’s Ice Cream- and had a tremendous work ethic and the competitive spirit. He was active in the Lutheran Church, and enjoyed the outdoors, biking, skiing, and working with his hands.
Larry is preceded in death by a son, Bryan Maxwell, his sister Gail Carmical (Trae Carmical, Devra Carmical), his mother Lanelle Coursey, and Father Bill Coursey.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn, daughter Erin Cearley (Luke Cearley- Cal Grady, Cort Kelly, Case Crew) His Brother Gary Coursey (Kelly, Amanda Coursey and Emma Coursey), along with a multitude of beloved family and friends.
A memorial service for Larry will be held on Saturday, August 30th at 12 noon at Memorial Funeral Chapel 2901 Texas Ave. S. College Station, Texas 77845.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brazos Valley Hospice or Texas Parks and Wildlife.
