
Memorial Services will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Road, Columbus, Ohio at 2 pm on Sunday, November 3, 2013. Lillian was a devoted member of Ascension Lutheran Church and served there on the altar guild.
Lillian was born October 27, 1928 in Columbus Ohio, the daughter of Robert and Lillian (Lockwood) Strauser. Lillian was a life long resident of Ohio until 2012 when she moved to Bryan, Texas. She attended Ohio State University. Following her marriage to A. Clyde Eide she resided in Columbus and later in Orange Township, Delaware County Ohio. She was for many years a precinct judge in Orange Township for the Delaware County Board of Elections. She and her husband, Clyde, were founding members of the American Wind Power Center in Lubbock, Texas. The Clyde and Lillian Eide Windmill Literature Collection is housed at The Susan L Perry Library in Lubbock.
Her son, Michael Eide, preceded Lillian in death.
She is survived by her husband, A. Clyde Eide, daughters, Deborah Haines, Sarah Eide, Christina Eide; her sister Violet Johns and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Rd., Columbus, OH; Beverly Farm Foundation, 6301 N. Humbert Rd. Godfrey, IL or the American Windpower Center, 1701 Canyon Lake Dr., Lubbock, TX.
