Lloyd Fairbanks Jr. passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026 with his loving wife at his bedside. He was a devoted husband, father, Papaw, brother, and friend who leaves behind a lifetime of memories, love, and laughter.
Lloyd started working in the oilfield at the young age of 18 or 19. He dedicated his life to hard work, sacrifice, and providing for his family, not to say he didn’t have fun along the way. The oilfield wasn’t just a job to him; it was a way of life. Through long hours, rough conditions, and countless days away from home, he built a reputation as a dependable, strong, and hardworking man who never backed down from responsibility. His work ethic earned the respect of everyone who knew him, and his dedication to his family was evident in everything he did.
On August 16, 1998, Lloyd married the love of his life, Annie Bookman. Together they built a life centered around love, family, and unwavering support for one another. Lloyd and Annie shared a beautiful blended family of six children: Brittany Shroeder, Travis Fairbanks, Trevor Fairbanks, Sabrina Bookman, Reed Fairbanks, and Jessika Fairbanks.
He loved his wife with all his heart and took great pride in his children and family. Whether through his guidance, humor, or steady presence, he made those around him feel loved and protected. He believed in hard work, honesty, and standing by the people you care about. His family will forever remember the strength, laughter, and unconditional love he brought into their lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Fairbanks Sr. and Frances Fairbanks; his brother, Jerry Fairbanks; his two sisters, Debbie Neumann and Shelly Fairbanks; and his grandson, Landon Chatman.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and family. Cherishing his memory are his beloved wife, Annie Fairbanks; his children, Brittany Shroeder (Will), Travis Fairbanks, Trevor Fairbanks (Emma), Sabrina Bookman, Reed Fairbanks, and Jessika Fairbanks; his siblings, Johnny Fairbanks, Mark Fairbanks (Katalla), Kenny Fairbanks (Rita), Samuel Fairbanks, Regina Vilanova (Ed), Pamela Boyd (Jim), and Christina Fairbanks; along with seven cherished grandchildren, extended family members, and many friends who loved him dearly.
