December 19, 1961 – June 17, 2026
Lori Langlois-Swain, age 64, of College Station, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, after a long and courageous journey with Multiple Sclerosis, which she was diagnosed with in 2001.
Born on December 19, 1961, in Montpelier, Vermont, Lori was the beloved daughter of Marilyn Langlois and the late Kenneth Langlois. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and went on to build a successful career with IBM.
While Lori was accomplished professionally, she will be remembered most for her generous heart, unwavering kindness, and devotion to her family. She never hesitated to help someone in need and opened her home to many people over the years who needed support, comfort, or simply a place to belong. Her compassion touched countless lives and created lasting friendships.
Lori found joy in gardening, scrapbooking, and nearly every form of arts and crafts. She had a creative spirit and a gift for making things beautiful, whether it was a flourishing garden, a handmade project, or a cherished family memory preserved in a scrapbook.
Above all else, Lori loved her family. She is survived by her loving partner, Kelvin Perry; her mother, Marilyn Langlois; her sister, Heather Wall; her children, Tyler Langlois, Melissa Swain-Desautels, Matthew Swain, Toni Cartagena, and Ann Wise; and her treasured grandchildren, Domynik Swain, Wyatt Swain, and Saphyria Desautels. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she was blessed to share much of their lives with them. The love, guidance, and memories she leaves behind will remain with them forever.
Lori was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Langlois, and her sister, Kim Langlois.
Lori's family takes comfort in knowing that her legacy of kindness, generosity, creativity, and unconditional love will continue to live on through all who knew her.
Lori will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held on July 19, 2026, in Bryan, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her life, share memories, and celebrate the love she brought into the world.
In keeping with Lori's love of flowers, plants, and gardening, those wishing to send flowers or plants for her Celebration of Life may contact Tyler Langlois at [email protected] for additional details.
Though she is no longer with us, Lori's love, strength, and compassionate spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
