Lucena "Lucy" Carpenter

Lucena “Lucy” Carpenter, 62, passed away, August 18, 2017 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in College Station. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Bryan / College Station Brethren Church, 2650 Earl Rudder Freeway, College Station, Texas 77845. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow at Peach Creek Cemetery.

Lucena was born September 27, 1954 in Lanao del Norte, Philippines, the daughter of Canuto and Juanita Mainit Alarcon. Lucy was an avid gardener and loved maintaining her flower garden and yard; she also was an excellent cook and loved getting family and friends together where she could cook and sing karaoke. Lucy's greatest joy was being “Grandma.”

Survivors include her husband, Dale Carpenter; children, Gerryl Durotan & fiancé Mark Salarda, Mabel Moore & husband Michael, Lesly Clark & husband Eric, Amy Wynn & husband Mark, and Doug Carpenter; grandchildren, Giemark Durotan, Jasmine Moore, Roseleigh Clark, Jonathan Wynn, Kaitlin Wynn, Faith Carpenter, Ariel Carpenter, Anthony Carpenter, and Paula Carpenter; brothers and sisters, Alberto Alarcon, Ederlina Riveral, Giging Villagonzalo, Ben Alarcon, Rolly Alarcon and preceded in death by one brother, George Alarcon.
