

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Mary-Hue (Nguyen) Pham at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in the presence of her husband, children, grandchildren and sister in Bryan/College Station. The Mass of resurrection is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 4 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. follow by recitation of the holy rosary on Friday, September 3 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station.
Mary Hue was born on August 20, 1938 in Hanoi, North Vietnam. In 1954, she migrated to Saigon, South Vietnam. She married Luong Huy Pham on December 27, 1958. On April 1975 at the fall of Saigon, Mary Hue and her family left Vietnam and resettled in Bryan/College Station. A devout Catholic, she has been a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan for 35 years. Even though Mary Hue did not understand English, she attended mass faithfully. She was a beloved wife to Luong Pham for 51 years, a loving mother to nine children, and grandmother to nine grandchildren. She showed extraordinary grace, courage, and acceptance in enduring the final stage of her illness.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Peter Ky Nguyen and Mary Sen Nguyen, and her son, Joseph Anh-Minh Pham.
Mary Hue is survived by her devoted husband, Luong Huy Pham; children, Hoang-Minh Pham, Reverend Le-Minh Pham, Linh-Huong (Sissy) and husband Michael Thevanh, Phong-Minh Pham, and wife Marilea, Lien-Houng and Husband Harvey Williams, Diem-Huong and husband Jose Alvarez, Binh-Minh Pham and Jean My Pham; grandchildren, Anh-Dzung Pham, Diana Pham, Brittany Thevanh, Branden Thevanh, Jennifer Pham, Joshua Pham, Harvey Williams Jr., Lauren Williams and Jacob Alvarez; sister and brother-in-law, Lan Thi and Thai Nguyen; and three nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 East 26th Street, Bryan, Texas 77803 or to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1101 West New Hope Drive, Cedar Park, Texas 78613. The funds will be given out to the poor in Vietnam.
