Mary retired from Texas A&M University and devoted much of her retirement to volunteering at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, where she generously gave her time in service to others.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Malone “Rocky” Smith Sr.
Mary is survived by her brother, Bob Roepke; her daughters and sons-in-law, Doris and Brian Taylor, Patricia and Pat McClure, and Shannon and John Blacklaws; her sons and daughters-in-law, Malone Jr. and Cozett Smith, and George Smith and Doris Felix; as well as twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Mary will be remembered with love by her family and all those whose lives she touched.
