Mavis Kuehn, 81, passed away Friday, May 18 at her home in College Station with her family by her side.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 22 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in College Station with Pastor Michael Hafer officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Cemetery of College Station. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station.

Mavis was born March 28, 1937 in Lacrosse, Wisconsin the daughter of Leonard John and Laura Emma (Haupt) Kappauf. She was a long time member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where she started the Lutheran Braille Ministries program. Mavis was a wonderful Mother loving Nana and was loved by everyone who knew her. She enjoyed playing cards and dominos.

Mavis is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jeanine Starkey; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur P. Sr. and Lena Kuehn; nephew, Ronald Kuehn; and a brother-in-law, Samuel Kuehn.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Arthur P. Kuehn Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Michael D. Kuehn and Nancy Davis; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and David Tyner; brother and sister-in-law, Laverne and Linda Kappauf, Gale and Debbie Kappauf; sisters and brother-in-law, Anita Howell, Kay and Bob Price; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Angelina and Preston “Doc” Vasbinder, Patsy Kuehn; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Ann Kuehn; grandchildren, Jillian Moore and husband Wade, Connie Keller and husband Bruce, Michael Kuehn Jr. and wife Jodi, Brittni Bures and husband Jacob, Shawn Browning and husband Jon, Steven Voumard and Rachel Weeks; great-grandchildren, Haley, Bradley, Brayden, Aubrey, Zoe, Levi, Jaxon, Zeke, Adelaide, Charles, Tilly and Cotton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
