

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 10 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station with Rev. John Free officiating. Interment will follow at College Station Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Naomi was born July 14, 1939 in Waco the daughter of John Joseph Wesley and Saloma Leona (Malcom) Gardner. Naomi retired from Texas A&M University after 23 years of service in the purchasing and stores department. She was an active member at First Baptist Church in Bryan and the Grace Adult Sunday School class. She loved to travel with her friends from the senior adult group at her church. A very artistic person, Naomi loved to paint especially on fabric.
Naomi is preceded in death by her husband, George Howard Shoemake who passed away June 2007.
She is survived by her sons-and daughters-in-law, Howard Shoemake, Larry and Claire Shoemake, Steve and Stephanie Shoemake; daughter and son-in-law, Beckie and Phil Antunes; thirteen grandchildren, Jacquelyn Ruth Shoemake, Joseph Shoemake, Lea Shoemake, Preston Antunes, Wesley Shoemake, Allie Shoemake, Connor Antunes, George Shoemake, Seth Shoemake, Bianca Naomi Shoemake, Thea Marie Shoemake, Summer Shoemake, and Sadie Shoemake; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Shoemake.
