Our wonderful and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather went home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2010. A great patriarch of the Hickson family and friend to many, Pat will be dearly missed. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 18 at Parkway Baptist Church in College Station with Reverend Chris Snidow officiating.
A Navy veteran serving in Japan, Pat returned to College Station to attend Texas A&M University where he received a bachelor’s degree in business. After working for several years in industry, he returned to TAMU where he held various management positions until retiring as manager of payroll for the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station after 23 years of service.
Married for 56 years to his eternal soul mate and one true love of his life, Pat leaves behind a legacy of love, caring, devotion, and commitment for family. Pat loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, being with family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. His love of family and life was second only to his love for our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Edward and Desdia Hickson and two brothers, Joe and Orville Hickson.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ishiko Amy Hickson of College Station; two sons and daughter-in-laws, David and Cherry Hickson of College Station, and Dale and Karen Hickson of Caldwell; two brothers Johnny Hickson of Ft.
