Ruth Mae Shannon

Ruth was married to Lloyd Jack Shannon on October 31, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio. She was a part of the American Red Hat Society in Lakeland, Florida. Ruth enjoyed baking and cooking. She also enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. Ruth loved to sit and visit with friends and family every chance she got.

Ruth was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Mary Duty; her brothers and sisters, and her husband, Lloyd Jack Shannon.

Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl Kiekens, Michael Shannon and his wife, Denise Shannon; her grandkids, Cara Kiekens, Eric Kiekens and his wife, Shelby Kiekens, Scott Shannon and his wife, Tiffany Shannon, Jennifer Huffman and her husband, Keith Huffman, Megan Pryce and her husband, Tye Pryce, and Matthew Schumann; her great-grandkids, Taylor, Anna, Aiden, Brenden, Alyssa, Kayden, Lexi, Reed, Wyatt, Liv, and great-great-grandson, Luca.

A service of remembrance will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Kruse Village Nursing Home in the their chapel. There will also be a committal service for Ruth at the Houston National Cemetery on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 10:45 a.m.
