SanJuanita Leal

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday January 4 at Rivergate Church, 2608 East Villa Maria Road, Bryan. Interment will follow at Wellborn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station.

SanJuanita was born July 10, 1954 in Navasota the daughter of Jose Martinez and Dora (Gomez) Leal. SanJuanita volunteered many hours with community service work with Phoebe’s Home and a home for children and battered women in Caldwell. She was very compassionate working with the children and women, praying with them and teaching them the word of God. She was involved with the Women’s minister at her church.

SanJuanita is preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Rene Gallardo.

She is survived by her daughter, Alicia Gallardo of Bryan; son, Michael Gallardo, Jr. of Bryan; brothers and sister-in-law, Joe and Rosa Leal of Houston, Rudy Leal of Hearne; sisters and brother-in-law, Ceferina and Ruben Gonzales of Hearne, Sara Leal of Bryan; grandchildren, Miranda Gallardo, Gabriella Gallardo and Dominiq Speer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
