Sigrid Paula Edwards

Sigrid Paula Edwards, 77, of College Station, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, surrounded by her family. Sig was born on September 12, 1948, in Valparaiso, Indiana, to Jean and Helen Evans. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where she met and married Ronnie L. Edwards. While living in Princeton, Kentucky and Auburn, Alabama, Ronnie and Sig were blessed with two children, Jon and Cathy, and finally settled in Bryan, Texas. Sig was a very dedicated wife and mother and her family meant everything to her. She was always an active member at church and taught young children’s Sunday School for decades, which brought her so much joy.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie L. Edwards; her parents, Jean and Helen Evans, her twin sister, Sande Sparkman, and her brother, Jean Evans.

She is survived by her children Jon Edwards and wife, Michelle, of Austin; Cathy Bryant and husband Troy of College Station, granddaughter Claire Edwards; grandson, Malachi Williamson; granddaughter Falen Rusche and husband Eli; grandson Ryker Wilson and wife Mariana; sister Kristie Defenbaugh, and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation and memorial will be held on Thursday, June 25th from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station, Texas.
