Thelma Rackley passed away July 11, 2026, in Bryan. A memorial service is scheduled for 9 A.M., Saturday, August 29, 2026 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Bryan with burial to follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Longview, TX. Thelma was born on July 21, 1936, in Enid, Oklahoma, the third daughter of Fred and Irene (Stahmer) Moehle. Thelma grew up in Enid, Oklahoma and graduated from Lahoma High School in 1954. She graduated from the University of Texas in 1958 with a degree in accounting. She married Larry Ford Rackley on September 6, 1958, and together they celebrated 31 years of marriage until his passing in 1990. Thelma and Larry raised their family in Longview, TX where she also worked as an Accountant. In 2001 she moved to College Station, TX to be closer to family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Rackley; her parents and two sisters.
Survivors include son and daughter in law, Kyle and Robin Rackley of College Station, TX; daughter and son in law Tami and J.C. Bonner of Brackettville, TX and her five precious grandchildren, Madelyn, Brinson and Lauren Rackley; Cohen and Hayes Bonner as well as two nephews and a niece.
The family extends special thanks to her caregivers at the Isle at Watercrest and Hospice Brazos Valley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice Brazos Valley or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
