

Anthony “Tony” Dechiro, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at his home in College Station. Funeral service is this morning at 10 o’clock Monday, April 26, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. A visitation was held Sunday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for family and friends. Interment will be in New Tabor Cemetery in Burleson County.
Tony was born to Charles and Sara Ribardo Dechiro in Mumford. He married the love his life Lillian Mildred Ondrasek on July 17, 1948 in Bryan and have celebrated 61 years of marriage. They had two children Debbie and Sandy. Tony was a member of the American Legion and the Brazos County Coon Hunters Association. Tony enjoyed the outdoors and was at peace in the forest. Teaching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to respect nature was his life mission. He truly enjoyed the company of his friends and family and could be found walking the “triangle trail”.
Tony’s parents precede him in death and his brother Charles Dechiro.
He his survived by his wife known by all as “Ma-mute”, his daughters and sons-in-laws, Debbie and Edward Moore Sr., and Sandy and Mark Wegmann, Sr., his grandchildren Eddie Moore Jr., Brandy Moore Loving, Mark and wife Malika Wegmann,, James and wife Kristi Wegmann, his great-grandchildren Avery Loving, Kayla Payne, Aiden Wegmann, Nick Corgey, his brother, Joe Dechiro, his sisters Stella Plantt, Josephine McLaughlin, Marie Wilkerson, numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
