Agatha Mary Comin

Agatha graduated from John Adams High School in Queens, New York in 1949 and subsequently worked for many years at Prudential Insurance where she was proudly promoted to office manager. She met her husband, George Comin, in 1967 through mutual friends on a blind date. They were married in 1968 and then had their daughters, Maria and Georgina.

In 1979, George’s job with American Airlines relocated the family to Fort Worth, Texas. The Comin Family developed a strong bond with George’s co-workers and it created a real sense of family in a new area. George and Agatha were married for 34 years until George’s death in 2004.

Agatha was a wonderful mother and Nonna. She was a devout Catholic. She volunteered at the church and local schools. She worked for many years for the Diocese of Fort Worth at St. John the Apostle School and subsequently at Nolan Catholic High School as an assistant librarian. After retiring, she continued volunteering many years in the library at Bransford Elementary, where two of her grandchildren previously attended. Through her dedication she received The Friend of the Children PTA Award.

Agatha was loved and will be missed. She is at peace now.

Agatha is preceded in death by her husband George Comin. She is survived by her daughters Maria (David) Taylor, Georgina (Marcus) Ponce De Leon; grandchildren Mark and Veronica Taylor, and Abigail Ponce de Leon; her sister-in-law, Ines Carideo, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation Service: Thursday December 19, 2024, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, with a Rosary occurring at 6 PM, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX.

Funeral Mass: Friday December 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Community, 1000 Tinker Road, Colleyville, Texas 76054. https://gscc.net/

Burial will be at 2:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
