ALEDO -- Al Miller, 91, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, with his wife and family at his side. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park with U.S. Navy military honors. He was born Albert Edward Miller on Aug. 29, 1924, in El Paso to William Sherman Miller and Durine Humphries Miller. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, aboard the USS Salt Lake City, CA25. Al was a retired electrician who enjoyed fishing and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, William. Survivors: His wife of 63 years, Mary Catherine Miller; daughter, Barbara Doberenz and husband, Marvin; grandchildren, Abby and Lee Childery and Mark and Michael Doberenz; and six great-grandchildren.
