Amy Robin DeGray

Amy Robin DeGray, aged 60, passed away on July 28, 2026, surrounded by family. Born on July 30, 1965, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Eugene and Greta Kaplan. Amy was a beloved and cherished presence in the lives of many, remembered with deep respect and enduring affection.

Amy carried forward a steady strength and a thoughtful spirit that shaped the way she moved through the world and cared for others. Through life’s changes and challenges, she met each season with resilience, offering kindness in ways both quiet and unmistakable.

Amy was a small business owner, investor and enjoyed watching the stock market. With a devoted work ethic and a generous heart, she approached her pursuits with care and intention, bringing the same steadiness to her professional life that she brought to those she loved.

Proud of her roots, she was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and planned her trips to her hometown around the many area delicacies. She greatly appreciated the artistry and flavors of food.

Amy met the love of her life 22 years ago, in Florida, Jarred Michael DeGray. Above all else, she prioritized her family, raising two incredible children, Gianna DeGray and Jake DeGray, and sharing in the many moments that make a home—especially the time spent around baseball and volleyball. Her love also extended warmly to her stepson, Taylor (Alyssa) Burleson, and to her grandson, Bennett Burleson. She is also survived by her siblings, Scott (Michelle) Kaplan and Nancy (John) Gaffney; and by her nieces and nephews, William (Taylor) Gaffney, Samantha Gaffney, Amanda Gaffney, Michael Kaplan, and Melissa Kaplan. She is also remembered with tenderness through her beloved dog, Vivian DeGray. Amy is survived by many lifelong friends; once you became her friend you were her friend for life.

A devoted and kind-hearted companion to those around her, Amy loved going out with friends and family, especially traveling, and she also loved shopping. She lived life to the fullest, with a passion for life that was infectious. Amy was a fighter until the very end, and you would never know she struggled with so much pain from Pancreatic cancer—meeting that battle with remarkable resolve and a steady, thoughtful grace.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to her medical care team, especially Sarah who stayed by her side throughout her battle.

A Celebration of Life for Amy is Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX 76034, at 10:00 a.m., with entombment to follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Pancreatic Research, or Three Oaks Hospice.
