Born in June, 1961 to Tom and Nancy Banowsky Myers in Fort Worth, Andy attended Valley View High School, Harding University, and graduated with a B.A. from Texas Wesleyan. Andy loved music of all kinds and came from a musical family. He was especially known for his kind, generous, and loving heart. He was quick to forgive and quick to help anyone who needed it. He gave to humanitarian causes as he could. He loved all animals. Yet still, he had a great sense of humor and could make people laugh, especially his nieces, whom he adored.
He was a talented writer and won awards for writing in high school. He had a difficult youth because of illnesses, yet he still managed to participate in sports. Andy was a lifelong Christian and loved reading Christian books. He was a member of The Hills Church in Southlake.
Andy was preceded in death by his father. Left to mourn for him is his wife, Helen, his mother, Nancy, his sister Melissa Drake and her husband Zane, his nieces, Morgan Drake and Bayley Drake, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom remember him for his sweet spirit.
