Arthur F. Mash went to his heavenly home on January 7, 2016. He was 83 years of age. Arthur was born in December of 1932 to Jess and Mildred Mash in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was raised in Durant, and was a proud graduate of Durant High School’s Class of 1951. He married his childhood sweetheart, Juanita, on October 27, of 1952 in Durant, Oklahoma. They then traveled the world as he traveled on Military Assignment. He was proud to serve his country, and made a career out of his 26 years in the Air Force. He will be remembered for his work ethic, dedication. Arthur very much enjoyed the outdoors. He had a “green thumb” as any plant he laid hands on, was sure to survive. He was an animal lover, and had a special place in his heart for his cats. Arthur loved to be up to date on his current affairs, and often watched the news and had a newspaper close by, but best of all, he loved his children and his family. He loved to irritate his own kids and nieces and nephews in the most playful of manners, jokingly showing them how much he loved them. Beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend, he will be dearly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him. He is preceded by his loving wife, Juanita Mash; Parents, Jess Floyd Mash and Mildred Ruby Mash; Sister, Mildred Smith and Brother, Robert Mash. Arthur is survived by his sons, Peter Mash and Michael Mash; Sisters, Evelyn Francis and Nellie Dixon; Brother, Luther Edward Mash; Nieces, Cindy Smith, Ruth Ann Goolsby, Tawana Smith, Margaret Cole, Nancy Smith, and Chris Roe and numerous friends.
