Barbara Spalding of Saginaw, Texas passed into the arms of our Lord Jesus on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Barbara will always be remembered as a loving and caring mother and friend to all who knew her. She was born on March 23, 1938 in Cuero, Texas to August Otto Boysen and Evelyn Boysen. Barbara was a member of the Legacy Church of Christ in Hurst, Texas and retired from Lockheed Martin (Fort Worth) after 36 years of service. Barbara loved many things in her life but her love for her God and family were first and foremost. She enjoyed shopping, working in her yard and flower beds, reading and eating out with family and friends. She especially liked her coffee and chocolate. Barbara also had a great love of her country and was proud to be an American. Funeral Service: Saturday, May 19 at 12:30 pm at Bluebonnet Hills Chapel in Colleyville Texas. Barbara is survived by her daughter: Coleen Spalding; grandchildren: Gary Carter Jr, Jillian Exum and Lauren Wood; great grandchildren: Emma Exum, Austin Wood and Zachery Wood; sisters: Shirley Warren, Ginny Range, Connie Smith and Suzi Castillo; nieces and nephews: “Little” Larry Boysen, Steve Boysen, Cheryl Lynn Mickle, Patsy Snyder, Sandy Morgan, Lisa Bradley, Lauri Range, Chad Range, Carrie Boysen-Thibodeaux, Christie Lott, Bonnie Ferguson, Bennie (BJ) Boysen Jr., Billy Smith and Jeffery Smith. Her loving paw companions: Annie and Gray Kitty, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by her children: Nicky Morano Jr., and Jamie Grimes; parents: August and Evelyn Boysen; brothers: Larry Boysen and Benny Boysen. I am praying for God to give Barbara's family peace and comfort at this very difficult time .I worked for over 30 years with Barbara and have very fond memories of her as always being one of the most kind and caring people I ever had the good fortune to have worked with.
