Barney Thurman Bethea, 91 years old, of Spring, Texas, passed away on September 26, 2026. Born July 10, 1935, in Caddo Mills, Texas. Known by his name Barney, he was also fondly known by his loved ones as Dad, Pa and Pops. Barney loved fishing and hunting. He was a numbers guy, being a whiz in accounting, logistics, records and personnel. Barney will be dearly missed by his family of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and by those who knew him best and loved him most.
He is preceded in death by his son Barney Bethea, his daughter Nikki Hamilton and his sister Bettye Allison. He is survived by his sons Barry Bethea and Bradley Bethea, and his brother Troy Bethea.
A Graveside Service will be held at 4414 FM, 6 IOOF Cemetery, Caddo Mills, TX 75135, on October 3, 2026, at 11:00 am.
