2025. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 21, 1962. Daughter of the late Michael and Patricia (Cronin) Squicciarini. Bella graduated from Samuel J. Tilden High School in June of 1980. She was married to Tevy Kaplan on February 10th 1990.
Bella is survived by her husband Tevy and her children Max and Eden Kaplan. Her sisters Millie and Joseph Militano, Marguerite Squicciarini, Dianne and John Bruno and brother Thomas Squicciarini and was predeceased by her brother Michael Squicciarini.
Bella had many careers throughout her life. She began as a secretary/dispatcher/bookkeeper in 1980, at J. Ciazzo Plumbing and Heating in Brooklyn, NY. From there she moved on to Jowonio as Payroll Specialist, then Assistant to the Director of Operations.
Once in Texas, she wore many hats, working in all aspects of the restaurant business.
Bella worked at St. Mary the Virgin Church, providing support to the Church, as well as the parishioners. She also worked for the City of Fort Worth. Bella’s last employer was Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park which she loved, and she felt like family.
Bella was so much more than her many varied careers. While Max and Eden were in school, Bella was heavily involved in PTA. Bella was a Class Mom and tutored students and always helped wherever needed.
As the kids grew older, she was involved in many other organizations. She was a strong advocate for LBGTQ Rights, her Community and any Underdog that needed a fierce Mama Bear to protect them. She was always open to discuss political topics that she felt were important. She was respected and loved by many and was always willing to help anyone because she had the Biggest Heart above all.
Bella was like a daughter to her in laws to the deceased Carl and Davina Kaplan. Like a sister to her husband's siblings Benjamin & Elena Kaplan, Daniel & Melissa Kaplan, and David & Kelly Kaplan.
She will be loved and missed by the many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and an exceptionally large Extended Family.
We would like to Thank and Acknowledge Cousin Bella. When Bella needed a kidney due to her diagnosis of lupus 35 years ago, Cousin Bella stepped up and gave her the Gift of Life, by donating her kidney. We can never thank you enough for blessing us all with 18 more years of Bella.
