Betty Pauline Ortegren, age 89, of Euless, Texas, died Saturday, November 22, 2014. Betty was born August 29, 1925 in Marquette, Nebraska to the late Gilbert and Kate (Danhauer) Larsen. Betty graduated from high school in Marquette. She attended the Grand Island Business College and became a school teacher.
Betty was married to the late Robert Ortegren on August 25, 1946. They moved to Texas in 1973. She worked for Cloth World Fabrics for many years. Betty retired from Wal-Mart fabric department after 15 years in 2006.
Betty loved to work daily in her flower beds, and was a big fan of all kinds of sports. She loved most of all spending time with her family and loved her home.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ortegren, her parents Gilbert and Kate Larsen, her brother Gib Larsen and her grandson Tory Ortegren.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Linda (Gerald) Christenson and Kathy (Bill) Bryan, a son Robert (Eva) Ortegren; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her brother Marion Larsen.
