

Betty Jane (Focke) Suhr On Sept. 17th, Betty Jane Suhr was welcomed home to heaven. Born on Nov. 26, 1931, in Ludell, KS. Upon graduation from high school, Betty moved to Denver, Co. where she graduated from Barnes Business College. Betty met her life long love, Vernon Suhr, and they were married on May 2, 1954. Vern and Betty moved from Colorado to Euless, Tx in 1959 where they raised 5 children. Betty continued her secretarial career working for Del Norte Technologies in Euless until her retirement in 1994. Vern and Betty were charter members of Peace Lutheran Church, Hurst, Tx. and later became active members of Crown of Life Lutheran Church, Colleyville, TX. Betty had a life long passion for learning, loved to travel the globe, and was actively involved in politics. Her smile was infectious and she never met a stranger. Preceding her in death were her husband, her eldest daughter Jana Braley, and her younger sister Janice Focke. She is survived by her sisters Mary Ann Holle, married to Marvin Holle of Ludell, KS, Carol Hestermann, married to Fran Hestermann of Atwood, KS. Her four remaining children are Marci Bucklaew of Bedford, Kerri Suhr of Bedford, John Suhr and Judy Coleman of Euless, Dana Higham married to Jeff Higham of Nazareth, PA, and her son in law Mark Braley of Ft. Worth. She leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Visitation will be Sunday September 20th from 2-4 p.m. and a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday September 21 at 11:30am with a light lunch following. Both at Crown of Life Lutheran Church, located at 6605 Pleasant Run Rd, Colleyville, TX.
