Betty Joycelynn White

Betty J. White, of Bedford, TX, passed away on Wednesday, 08 May 2019 in Bedford, TX. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, and friend, to all that knew and loved her. She was born on 30 September 1934 in New Orleans, LA to James and Olivia Fayard.

Betty was a very loving Mother, artist, and author. She had a couple of children’s short stories published, and won awards for Ceramics, paintings and Dolls she made.

Betty is survived by 3 sons, Terry, Ricky, and Wesley White, all within the DFW metroplex area. A Grandson Jeffrey White, and 2 Granddaughters, Debbie, and Barbara White of Tennessee, and a Great Grandson James A. White II of Lancaster, TX. Other Surviving family members are a Niece Diane Hastings of Slidell, LA, and 3 Nephews David, Timmy, and Craig Vinet all of New Orleans LA. She has a surviving daughter-in-law Sharon Shiflet-White, wife of Rick; and 2 step Grandchildren, Renae Clemens (husband Clint), and Jefferey Shiflet (wife Renee), as well as 4 step great Grandchildren, Haley and Hayden Clemens, and Madison, and Samantha Shiflet; all in the DFW area.

She was preceded in death by Husband James A White; 3 Sisters, Dianna, Maybell, and Sylvia, and 2 Brothers Milton and Jonny, all of New Orleans LA. Also preceding her were her Brother-in-law Harry Vinet of New Orleans, and Daughters in Law Barbara Sue White and Gwen Self both of the DFW area; and Great Grandson Vladimir White who died at birth.

The visitation will be held from 6 to 8 o’clock p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held at 1 o’clock on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in the Mausoleum. Interment will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Mausoleum with a reception to follow Rick and Sharon’s Home in Hurst TX, 8340 Riversprings Dr.
