I first met Betty in Jacksboro at the Dairy Mart. She would mention for years how I would go to my Van checking on my dogs giving them water. She was a very friendly and down to earth woman. Betty and Ron were there through my husband's death and they opened their home to me for holidays and etc.. I will miss this beautiful, loving and kind woman. My prayers and love for the whole family.

Mema always had an ear to listen, arms open to hug and hold, a love that was unconditional, and a heart made of gold. Some of my most cherished memories are spending time with her. We would eat our "fancy " dinner of chili noodles, followed by some good ol Blue Bell ice cream. We would stay up late watching movies and just talk for hours. We had so many shopping trips, and the joy of getting Grandaddy of eating at Panchos (lol). You're laugh and smile is the most contagious I've ever seen . I don't think I've seen you meet a stranger. You always took the time to for others , and gifted with so many talents.
I am eternally grateful to have you and Grandaddy as my grandparents.

From the first time I met Betty, I loved her. She and I grew to be close good friends. She always would compliment me about my hair, how she would love to cut it off my head and put the hair on her head. We always had a great time together, laughing and talking for hours. I will miss her. I will keep you, Ron, in my prayers. Always remember, "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. With love and sympathy, Pam & Jimmy Swafford
