She will always be remembered as a loving mother, friend, colleague, and mentor to all that knew and loved her. She was born on September 12, 1923 in Troy, Texas to Robert and Viola Blackburn. Beverly graduated from Troy High School. She married Franklin Hinze on her birthday, September 12, 1946. Beverly was a homemaker and volunteer. She volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital for 20+ years and was Head of the Guild multiple times, and led many fund raisers over the years. Upon moving to Grapevine in 1986, she and her husband became actively involved at First United Methodist Church Grapevine where she became involved with the Thrift Shop Ministry and eventually became the Leader of that group. She never met a stranger and made sure that everyone was always well taken care of.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Melissa Hinze-Beaver and husband, Terry; granddaughter, Jillian King-Byars and husband Chris; grandson, Darren Hinze and wife Linda; grandsons, Joel and Nathan Hinze. She was proceeded in death by her husband Franklin Hinze; son, Bob Hinze; grandson, Jeremy King; 4 siblings, Aubrey, George, and Bob Blackburn and sister Ruth Filippone. Beverly loved children and is also survived by great-grandchildren Willow, Teak, Chaz, Scarlett and numerous nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be held from 2 – 3 o’clock p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2019 prior to the service at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held at 3 o’clock. Interment will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park at the Mausoleum.
